A 23-year-old roofer was tragically killed while working in Wilton Manors after falling from a two-story building.

The incident occurred while the worker was removing roofing material in preparation for a new system installation.

Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has been notified.

The young man's family has been informed of the tragic incident, and grief counselors have been made available to his coworkers.

  • Scat: Tubular with fur/bones (carnivores), fibrous/seed-filled (herbivores & raccoons).
  • Signs: Deer browse twigs, raccoons overturn rocks, armadillos dig half-moons, gopher tortoises leave sandy burrows.
  • Visuals: Watch for bird patterns, snake markings, and rooted soil from hogs.
  • Timing: Nocturnal (raccoon, bobcat), crepuscular (deer, fox), diurnal (birds, tortoise).

Tip: Photograph tracks with a ruler for better ID later.
