Local man appeals for public assistance following collision involving blue Tesla |
In the early hours of January 15, a hit-and-run incident on North 25th Avenue in Hollywood left resident Stu Dennen with a severely damaged vehicle.
Surveillance footage captured a blue Tesla colliding with Dennen's parked white Altima.
The driver exited the Tesla, assessed the damage, and then departed without leaving any contact information.
Dennen expressed his frustration, stating, "People make mistakes, and sometimes fear leads them to make the wrong decision."
He promptly filed a police report but has yet to receive any updates on the case.
On the night of the incident, Dennen confronted a woman outside his home who claimed she was "looking for a ring."
Later, surveillance footage revealed a woman returning to the scene approximately 35 minutes after the crash, collecting debris from the Tesla.
Dennen noted, "She knew she was in trouble; she knew that she did something she was purposely trying to cover up."
He is now reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying the driver or the blue Tesla involved.
A neighbor mentioned that the woman was wearing high heels and a flight attendant's uniform at the time of the crash.
Dennen emphasized, "I would like to get it resolved, cause it shouldn't fall on me."
He hopes for an opportunity to discuss the incident with the driver and receive an apology to make things right.
Hollywood Police have been contacted for updates on the case but have not provided any new information.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000. |
