South Florida is set to host a groundbreaking exhibit that brings the story of the Titanic to life.
Opening on January 30, 2026, at South Florida PBS in Boynton Beach, "Titanic: An Immersive Voyage" offers visitors a unique journey through the history of the ill-fated ship.
Attendees can explore authentic artifacts, including fragments from the Titanic and exact replicas of the china used onboard.
One notable piece is a set of china that, by chance, never made it onto the ship, providing a tangible connection to the era.
The exhibit also features a 10-minute virtual reality experience, allowing guests to dive 2.5 miles below sea level to view the Titanic's wreckage as it rests today.
Sadah Espiiproctor, Director of Immersive Media at South Florida PBS, highlighted the technological advancements that have made this possible, stating, "There’s been recent technological advancements in 3D scanning of the remains and taking a look at all of the different aspects of the ship, so we wanted to have an immersive experience to bring people back into that story."
Marketing and Communications Manager Anabel Moncada emphasized the educational value, noting, "This is the future and this is a new form of people learning."
The exhibit aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Titanic's story, from its construction to its tragic end, and how the event has shaped modern maritime practices.
"Titanic: An Immersive Voyage" will be open Tuesday through Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Tickets are priced at $45 for adults, $35 for seniors, students, military personnel, and first responders, while children under 12 can attend for free.
For more information or to purchase tickets, interested individuals can contact South Florida PBS at 561-274-8309 or via email at sfpbsimmersive@southfloridapbs.org.
